IA4Birds

The IA4Birds project arises as a diagnostic tool based on bird detection and monitoring, but also on the ingestion of information from external sources and the creation of a common database to optimise the evaluation process of wind energy projects and thus improve decision-making and biodiversity management in the fight against climate change.

The aim is to design an intelligent, modular and scalable platform to optimise the evaluation and planning of wind farm sites in Castilla y León by applying hybrid artificial intelligence algorithms for the detection and monitoring of birds and their subsequent analysis and prediction.

IA4BIRDS is supported by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
