The AIR Institute, a non-profit research center with around 100 employees, is dedicated to promoting and developing scientific research in computer science and artificial intelligence. With offices in Valladolid and Salamanca, we are expanding our team of distributed ledger technologies.
In this growth phase, we are seeking a Specialized Backend Developer with experience in MQTT, Kafka, MongoDB, NiFi, and GraphQL. This role is crucial for developing innovative applications and implementing advanced technological solutions in national and European R&D projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of backend services using technologies like MQTT and Kafka to handle real-time data streams.
- Development and maintenance of databases with MongoDB.
- Management of data flows using Apache NiFi.
- Creation of efficient and scalable APIs using GraphQL.
- Collaboration in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from conception to implementation.
- Contribution to the design and architecture of new backend solutions.
- Active problem-solving and optimization of system performance.
- Teamwork to achieve common goals and meet delivery deadlines.
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or Higher Vocational Training in computer science.
- Demonstrable experience in backend development with Node.js.
- Demonstrable experience in backend development with technologies such as MQTT, Kafka, MongoDB, NiFi, and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Proactivity, dynamism, and a methodological approach to software development.
Recommended:
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Experience with frontend technologies to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
- Experience in Testing and software quality assurance.
- Experience with Rust or Go.
