Avila Polytechnic School hosts the "Digital Training Workshop on Artificial Intelligence" organized by ICE and AIR Institute

The Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castile and Leon (ICE) in collaboration with Air Institute, have held the "Artificial Intelligence Digital Training Workshop". This event is part of the Centr@Tec program, which has focused on the importance of AI and the benefits that this technology can offer to companies in Castilla y León.

The workshop took place this morning at the Polytechnic School of Ávila. The event was opened by the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Avila, Alberto Pascual Muñoz, the Director of the Polytechnic School of Avila, Luis Santiago Sanchez Perez and the Director of the University School of Nursing of Avila, Maria del Pilar Gonzalez Arrieta.

The President of AIR Institute, Juan Manuel Corchado Rodriguez continued with a brief introduction on the potential of Artificial Intelligence today and the impact it has on smart cities, "Artificial intelligence has accelerated the growth of various companies, it is not a new technology, but the progress it is making has been dramatic, to the point that many experts are concerned about the scope it may have. However, we have evidenced that it is turning into opportunities to revolutionize different sectors, we apply it in different projects to predict or manage a large volume of data".

For his part, Pablo Chamoso Santos from Air Institute, introduced the more technical part of the workshop with the presentation of the Deep Intelligence (DeepINT) platform, a solution based on Machine Learning algorithms, which transforms data into valuable information and helps companies make better decisions.

He was followed by José Ramón Estévez from Proyecta Energía, who presented the ProyectaPV platform, a comprehensive and personalized advisory, monitoring and control service that allows for optimization in the management of renewable assets.

The attendees were able to learn how to apply the main innovations in the area of artificial intelligence, and the improvement options that they can incorporate into their production processes in order to optimize costs, improve their competitive position and work more efficiently.

The workshop will be complemented by an online session on 13 April. The participants will learn the basics of artificial intelligence for digital transformation, more technical content on unsupervised learning or deep learning and also apply what they have learned hands-on using the DeepINT platform.
