EGTCs and people to people projects

The workshop for EGTCs, organized by INTERACT, will focus on four main points:

  1. EGTCs are anchored in the draft regulation for Interreg post 2020. EGTCs - next to cross border legal bodies - should become beneficiaries of future Small Projects Funds (SPFs). EGTCs should also be represented in the Monitoring Committees (MCs) of programmes. That means the option for a strong involvement in future programmes is there.
  2. Managing a SPF will lead to a lot of management and administration work. The EGTC as beneficiary of the SPF should be accountable for the implementation of the SPF and ensure the audit trail back to the projects. Small projects should be based on Simplified Cost Options (SCOs) in order to safeguard a user-friendly approach towards the recipients of small projects. This training will be focusing on this aspect in particular.
  3. Relationships with Interreg programme bodies might differ in terms of tasks, roles and responsibilities. This training will look more into what those might be.
  4. Experienced EGTCs have accumulated a lot of knowledge and EGTCs in the start-up phase might profit from them. This will be a good venue for the sharing of information.
