AIR Institute Takes Centre Stage at Certify’s Second Infoday on European Innovation in IoT, Edge Computing and Cybersecurity

The AIR Institute played a leading role in the second Infoday of the European project Certify, held under the theme “Driving Innovation for a Robust European Ecosystem: IoT, Edge Computing and Cybersecurity”. The online event, which took place on 10 June, brought together experts in cybersecurity and digital technologies.

Organised by the AIR Institute alongside the other consortium partners, the event became a key forum for analysing emerging trends and addressing major challenges in the secure management of the lifecycle of connected devices, particularly in industrial environments. The session encouraged deep reflection on the effective integration of technologies such as IoT, Edge Computing, and cybersecurity, with the aim of strengthening the resilience of Europe’s digital ecosystem.

The event featured contributions from leading organisations including the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), the Smart Connectivity Digital Innovation Hub Network (SCoDIHNeT), and Secure Networks (SECNET), as well as active involvement from Certify consortium members.

A highlight of the day was the panel discussion “Securing the Future”, during which Pierre-Yves Danet (SCoDIHNeT) and Fouad Ailabouni (SCRIN Project) shared insights on tackling current and future challenges in cybersecurity as applied to IoT. Additionally, the workshop facilitated a dynamic exchange of ideas on potential technological solutions aligned with Certify’s goals.

To conclude the event, attendees were invited to register for the online course Certify - Industrial Cybersecurity, available until 22 June 2025, offering a deeper dive into the project’s content, guided by the very experts who are developing it.

The AIR Institute would like to thank ECSO, Collins Aerospace, the University of Murcia, and the other consortium partners for their participation and support, as well as all attendees who joined us for this enriching session. We also encourage attendees to complete the satisfaction survey shared during the event, where they can request further information about the project and express their interest in joining the Certify community.

This second Infoday reaffirms AIR Institute’s commitment to advancing cutting-edge technological solutions in cybersecurity and IoT, further consolidating its role as a key player in the digital transformation of Europe’s industrial landscape.
