Great success of DIHWOLD Community Days

Yesterday we had the opportunity to participate in a seminar entitled "The importance of Digital Innovation Hubs in Industry 4.0. The role of the IoT DIH" a very interesting initiative organised by the IoT Digital Innovation Hub and coordinated by the AIR Institute. The attendees learned more about the functioning of this centre and of all the DIH that operate in Europe, as well as understand their importance for the digital transformation of industries and institutions. The meeting, which was held as part of the DIHWORLD Community Days, brought together in the same (virtual) space students and professionals from SMEs, the primary sector and tech companies, as well as some of the DIH IoT partners from research groups and projects we participate in. All of them were able to share their concerns with the speakers who collaborate with the Hub.

The seminar has presented our Hub and the role played by DIHWORLD in the development of IoT and Industry 4.0. The pillars of these paradigms have been described and we have given a brief introduction to both initiatives.

In addition, we have presented SMARTSEA, a project that is being developed by our Hub and that will be the key to implementing IoT in the maritime sector.

Overall, yesterday’s seminar was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the importance of the work done by the Digital Innovation Hub from the people who run it. We hope the public enjoyed it as much as we did.
