The AIR Institute participates in the CIBERIA project follow-up meeting in Salamanca

The CIBERIA project partners have held a meeting at the facilities of the R&D&I building of the University of Salamanca. The CIBERIA project, in which the AIR Institute participates as a partner, aims to promote economic growth and the development of new solutions in the digital world, as well as to make the region more attractive and competitive worldwide in the development of reliable cybersecurity solutions and, finally, to facilitate the digital transition of SMEs and public services to ensure a culture of cybersecurity. 

CIBERIA seeks to create a cybersecurity support ecosystem in the Region of Castilla y León and Central Portugal (CENCYL) to enable companies and public administrations to be resilient to cyber-attacks.

The project involves 12 partners from Castilla y León and Central Portugal, including the University of Salamanca (USAL), the University of León (ULE), the Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad de España, S. A (INCIBE), the CIDAUT Foundation, the University of Salamanca Science Park Foundation, the Artificial Intelligence Centre (AIR INSTITUTE), the Supercomputing Centre of Castilla y León (SCAYLE), the Universidade da Biera Interior (UBI), the Instituto Politécnico de Guarda, the Comunidade Intermunicipal das Bieras e Sierra da Estrela (CIM-BSE) and Secure Networks, Consultoría Informática.

Throughout the project, different organisations will be able to benefit from audits and advice related to cybersecurity and compliance with the European Regulation in this area. The beneficiary organisations will be from Castilla y León and Portugal, specifically from Beiras e Serra da Estrela, as well as different public administrations. An excellent initiative to promote the culture of cybersecurity in Castilla y León and central Portugal.
