AIR Institute Leads Education and Innovation Sessions at ICEM 2024

Intense sessions of work and innovation characterized the Tech Awakening of Intelligence for Education and Media 2024 (ICEM), held from September 25 to 27 at Colegio Fonseca and the Multi-Purpose R&D Building of the University of Salamanca, where the AIR Institute participated by presenting highly attractive and innovative proposals.

During these three days, ICEM 2024 served as a forum for discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented reality, and virtual reality, applied to the field of education across various teaching levels, from early childhood to postgraduate education.

APRENDA: A Historical and Natural Journey through the City of Salamanca

In this setting, the AIR Institute presented the project "APRENDA: Progressive Learning and Educational Challenges for Children through Application Development," developed in collaboration with the GIPEP research group from the Faculty of Education at the University of Salamanca.

This project proposes an application that involves searching for animated characters throughout Salamanca, with whom users can interact and build a "friendship" by answering questions about the history, flora, and fauna of the city.

The concept involved a group of children aged 8 to 15, who participated from the project's conceptualization to the pilot testing phase, aiming to ensure greater connection with the game and achieve one of the main objectives of this application: encouraging children to play outside.

ICEM 2024: A Hub for Technological Innovation

Sponsored by the AIR Institute, ICEM 2024 took place in a broad context of technological innovation focused on promoting new learning initiatives related to recent digital advances, where both children and professionals in the field presented innovative proposals for all ages.
