Q-Lab

Objective

Research in computing requires systems that drive its growth, and one of the elements that optimises resources and energy is quantum computing. In Spain there are few centres with simulation capabilities or connection to quantum computing, generating a notable disadvantage compared to neighbouring countries. This proposal seeks to improve research capacity and increase competitiveness in the quantum field. To this end, AIR Institute, a technology centre with extensive experience in R&D at national and European level, proposes the implementation of the Q-Lab laboratory and platform in its facilities, creating a dynamic element of the R&D environment, as well as an economic one, positioning the region as a benchmark in computing technologies.
