AIR Institute attends Mobile World Congress to present its major animation project

AIR Institute researchers are at the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC), the largest and most influential event for the connectivity ecosystem, where every year the world's leading companies, international governments and technology companies participate, making it a great opportunity to showcase innovative ideas, new projects or make synergies with key entities.

Raúl García and Javier Mateos, at the Wolaria stand.

Our colleagues have taken the opportunity to introduce to the audience at the Congress topics that may be of high interest to them, namely digital animation and video games. These two industries are currently experiencing their best moment. The AIR Institute is aware of this and for this reason it will soon launch an "International HUB for Video Games and Animation" (hIvA). This project aims to boost the technological ecosystem of Castilla y León by promoting an environment of excellence in the field of digital technology.

The aim of the hIvA project is to position Salamanca and Castilla y León as a relevant ecosystem in the world of animation, for which it will have the support of various public and private institutions, such as the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE), which also attended MWC to accompany various startups from Castilla y León, in addition to presenting an excellent initiative that will be carried out within hIvA.

We will soon be able to announce more details regarding this exciting initiative on which we will be working with the ICE and its accelerator Wolaria, a benchmark programme in startup acceleration in Spain, which is deployed in key sectors and technologies of the economy: health, cybersecurity, aerospace, green energy, bioeconomy, agrotech and video games.
