“El Jap!” to Host Roundtables and Pitch Competitions in Video Games and Animation with Cash Prizes at Salamanca Tech Summit
The International Hub for Video Games and Animation, “El Jap!”, will be part of the programme for the tech event Salamanca Tech Summit, held at the Salamanca Conference Centre from 25 to 27 June.
“El Jap!”'s programme will include two roundtable discussions and two pitch competitions focused on the video game and animation industries. On Thursday, 26 June, from 16:00 to 17:30, the roundtable titled “Winning Over Audiences: Distribution Strategies in Animation” will take place, featuring Yago Fandiño, Head of Children’s Content at RTVE; Ylka Tapia, Head of Content Acquisition, Sales, and Third-Party Deals at El Reino Infantil; Tania Pinto, Vice-President/Partner at Pink Parrot Media INC; Egoitz Rodríguez, film and television director at production company Baleuko; and moderated by Guillermo Velasco, Business Director and Executive Producer at Big Bang Box.
Immediately afterwards, from 18:00 to 20:00, the Animation Pitch Competition will be held, where participants may present their projects for a chance to win a €500 cash prize sponsored by Tangram Solutions and receive priority access to the Video Game and Animation Accelerator. The judging panel will comprise members of the previous roundtable. Entry is free and available via this link.
On Friday, 27 June, from 10:00 to 11:30, the Video Game Roundtable, titled “Game On! The Art of Winning Over Players”, will be held with Pablo de la Nuez, co-founder of Impulse Lean Publishing; Juan Tamargo, Managing Partner, Business Agent & Consultant at The TEA Agency; Fabriciano Bayo, co-founder and Managing Partner at The TEA Agency; David Lorenzo, CEO of game development studio DALOAR Studios; and moderated by Fernando Alcaraz, producer of animation and video games at Big Bang Box.
Following this, in a similar format to the previous day, the Video Game Pitch Competition will run from 12:00 to 14:00, with registration available here.
