Companies, new technologies and the biotechnology sector at the next Salamanca Tech conference

Salamanca Tech, the initiative coordinated by AIR Institute and the BISITE Research Group of USAL in collaboration with the Salamanca City Council, seeks to promote innovation and technological development in the city. The aim is to make Salamanca a benchmark in southern Europe and to boost the business network.

After more than a dozen face-to-face events with a multitude of experts and topics such as the digital industry, smart tourism, the aeronautical industry, artificial intelligence or quantum computing, on this occasion the Chamber of Commerce of Salamanca (Plaza Sexmeros, 2) will host the conference "Salamanca Biotech: A growing business environment" on Wednesday 13 March.

The aim of the event is to promote new technologies and the biotechnology sector so as to retain talent and drive the city towards becoming an innovation HUB. The event will be attended by Pedro Luis Pisonero Pérez, General Director of Iberaval; María Pilar Armero Martínez, Head of the Innovation Unit of IBSAL; Adriana Casillas Barros, CEO of Tebrio; Ana Catarina Bento, Business Manager Northern and Western Spain at CeGaT, and Miguel Ángel Ávila Santiago, CEO and co-founder of Neurofix. In addition, the welcome will be given by the Mayor of Salamanca, Carlos García Carbayo; the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Benjamín Crespo, and the Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence of the University of Salamanca, Juan Manuel Corchado Rodríguez.
