AIR Institute, present at Startup Olé with innovative projects
The technology center, AIR Institute, is once again participating in a new edition of Startup Olé. This year, we have a stand located at the main entrance of the Congress and Exhibition Center of Castilla y León in Salamanca, where we are showcasing some of our projects based on technologies such as artificial intelligence, video games, digital animation and electronics.
During Wednesday’s event, many attendees —including entrepreneurs, company representatives, and members of institutions— engaged with AIR Institute staff to learn firsthand about their initiatives and explore collaboration opportunities. Some of the featured projects include:
The European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) DIGIS3 is one of 12 such hubs in Spain and the only one in Castilla y León. AIR Institute is a member of DIGIS3 alongside the University of León, SCAYLE, DIHBU, DIH-LEAF and the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICECYL), along with a broad network of affiliated entities.
DIGIS3 offers free training and aims to drive the smart, sustainable, and cohesive digital transformation of SMEs and public entities in the region, providing them with the necessary tools for digitalization.
This is the International Video Game and Animation Hub, established to promote these sectors in Castilla y León. “El Jap!” offers free training (courses, workshops, master’s programs), events, professional meetups, and job opportunities to support the growth of entrepreneurs and companies in the video game and animation industries.
AIR Institute, ICECYL, and the regional government of Castilla y León are the primary drivers of El Jap!, and other institutions and companies, such as the Wolaria accelerator, Big Bang Box, DALOAR (formerly Pentakill Studios), and Gamez Studio, are also involved.
dAIEDGE is a network of excellence designed to strengthen and support the development of a dynamic European artificial intelligence ecosystem under the European Lighthouse for AI initiative. More than 30 members from across Europe, including AIR Institute, collaborate to share ideas and insights on next-generation AI, assisting the European Commission and the EU in identifying strategies in this field.
This project aims to raise awareness of cybersecurity in Internet of Things (IoT) enabled environments by sharing information on threats and mitigation strategies. Members from various countries such as Switzerland, Belgium, Greece, France, and Spain collaborate to disseminate cybersecurity knowledge through a robust outreach plan.
These are handmade therapeutic dolls that incorporate technology. They are designed to help people of all ages improve their quality of life and delay the negative effects of various conditions such as Alzheimer’s, autism, or communication disorders, among others.
On Thursday, October 10, AIR Institute will also be present at Startup Olé from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Feel free to visit their stand if you are interested in any of these technologies and initiatives.
