Europe Infoday – Cluster 3 was held at the Multipurpose Administrative Building (ESAUM) in Salamanca, as part of the  Centr@tec4 programme. The event brought together experts, companies, and institutions to explore European funding opportunities in cybersecurity, citizen security, and disaster resilience.

Organised by the AIR Institute in collaboration with the Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation (CDTI) and the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICECYL), the Infoday offered a comprehensive overview of the tools, calls for proposals, and best practices available to drive R&D&I projects within Castilla y León.

The event was officially opened by José Francisco Diego Calvo, Territorial Director of ICECYL in Salamanca, who presented the Institute’s support programmes. He was accompanied by Carmen Losada Torres, Deputy Director of the AIR Institute, who outlined the key objectives of the  Centr@tecprogramme.

During the course of the day, Maite Boyero Egido from  CDTI provided an in-depth practical guide on successfully navigating the Horizon Europe Cluster 3 calls, along with essential advice on securing international funding and fostering new collaborations.

Raquel Domínguez Martínez, representing the Enterprise Europe Network, introduced the network’s services aimed at boosting innovation in SMEs.

A key highlight was the AIR Institute’s firsthand experience with European projects, showcased through the presentation of the CERTIFY project, which tackles security challenges throughout the lifecycle of industrial IoT devices. The Infoday also announced an extension to the deadline for completing the “Certify – Industrial Cybersecurity” course on the e4YOU platform, now open until 31st July, following over 300 enrolments in the past three months.

The event concluded with bilateral meetings between attendees and  CDTI representatives, fostering the exchange of ideas and the development of collaborative proposals.

The AIR Institute thanks all participants and speakers for their contributions and celebrates the success of this event as a vital gathering for the innovation ecosystem in Castilla y León.
