AIR Institute, ICECYL, and Recoletos Consultores hold conference on tools for attracting and retaining talent

Today saw the conference “Attracting and retaining talent as facilitators of innovation in research.” This event was organized by the  AIR Institute National Technology Center in collaboration with Recoletos Consultores, as part of the Centra@tec program funded by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castile and León (ICECYL).

The León Technology Park served as the venue for a conference that brought together experts and professionals from SMEs and agents from the León business ecosystem interested in learning about the tools currently being used to attract and retain talent.

The conference began with a welcome and presentation of the grants and services offered by ICECYL by Luis Antonio Ruano Herrero, a technician from the León regional office. María Teresa González from the AIR Institute presented the opportunities offered by the Centr@tec4 program and the benefits for SMEs and entrepreneurs to the attendees.

Expert perspective on talent retention

Henar López Olmos, head of the talent unit at ICECYL, spoke about the power of R&D&I managers to make Castile and León more competitive, highlighting the important role these professionals play in implementing projects and promoting the community. Cybersecurity also played an important role in the conference, with the participation of Diana Núñez, a technician in the talent area of the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), who analyzed talent and initiatives in this sector.

 

The conference continued with the participation of Eduard Lorda from Resaver (Retirement Savings Vehicle for European Research Institutions), who presented the initiative coordinated by Recoletos Consultores and explained the public-private support tools for attracting talent.

The event concluded with a round table discussion moderated by Sara Benítez, Head of Human Resources at AIR Institute. Also participating in the discussion were Hilde Pérez from the Supercomputing Center of Castile and León (SCAYLE), Agustín Calvo from Resaver, and Pepe Ruiz de las Heras from Recoletos Broker, with the aim of highlighting the importance of technology in retaining and attracting talent.

Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and present specific cases to the experts during a networking session at the end of the event to promote synergy between companies and entrepreneurs.
