ICE and AIR Institute presented the conference on European R&D&I programs in Salamanca

Yesterday, February 8, a conference was held on the European R&D programs of Cluster 4 of Horizon Europe, "Digital, Industry and Space", which is part of the Centr@tec program. The conference took place at the headquarters of the Junta in Salamanca.

The main objective of the Centr@tec program is to support the digital transformation for the application of ICT technologies in the companies of Castilla y León and to promote their internationalization, an initiative promoted by the ICE and the regional technology centers.

This event was made possible thanks to the collaboration between the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE) and AIR Institute.

The event was attended by around fifty entrepreneurs from Salamanca who wanted to learn about the opportunities offered by the call and how to apply for the €940M with which digitalization and innovation projects will be financed throughout this and next year.

The event began with the reception of the delegate of the Junta de Castilla y León in Salamanca, Eloy Ruiz, who was accompanied by the president of the Air Institute, Juan Manuel Corchado and the territorial delegate of ICE in Salamanca, José Francisco Diego. They shared some of the new features that Horizon Europe brings to the companies of Castilla y León.

For their part, the national contact points for this call and members of the CDTI, Fernando Martín, Andrea Pérez-Calvo and Carlos Toledo, described the different funding models, which projects and technologies can qualify and how to apply for them.

Finally, business experiences were presented where Javier Llorente, from the Reciclados Sostenibles company, explained his experience in a Cluster 4 project; Isabel Peláez, from the European Projects Unit of ICE detailed the support offered by this entity, and Juan Manuel Corchado concluded the conference with a presentation of the Centr@tec program.

In addition, attendees were able to hold bilateral meetings with the national contact points of Cluster 4 to present their specific case and review possible proposals.

AIR Institute, as a technology center focused on the development of solutions based on Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Internet of Things, will organize, at Centr@tec, a series of conferences in the provinces of Salamanca, Avila, and Zamora over the next few months, which will address the application and usefulness of this type of technology for different productive sectors.
