The rector of the University of Rosario (Colombia) visits AIR Institute laboratories
Researchers from the AIR Institute have received the rector from the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario (Colombia), Alejandro Cheyne García, who has been visiting Salamanca to strengthen relations between the USAL and his institution.
During his visit to the University of Salamanca, a collaboration agreement was signed to promote student mobility between the two universities. This initiative facilitates the exchange of talent between the two nations. This is excellent news for the objectives of the AIR Institute, where we are committed to the promotion and development of scientific research in different technologies.
Our colleagues have presented some of the projects we are developing at AIR Institute, in Artificial Intelligence, blockchain and Internet of Things, allowing for the exchange of ideas and possible alliances for the implementation of projects between both institutions.
The University of Rosario, founded on Roman Catholic principles, has a long history dating back to 1653, when it was inaugurated by Fray Cristóbal de Torres, under the authorisation of King Philip IV of Spain. Today, it is considered one of the most influential universities in the country, with some 20 presidents having passed through its doors.
Without a doubt, the visit of representatives from this university has been a great opportunity to continue building research ties in other parts of the world.
