BioTeCare


The BioTeCare Project aims to position Castilla y León as a national and international reference in life sciences and digital health innovation. Additionally, the project significantly contributes to the thematic priorities of the RIS3, addressing a key area such as data technologies in the health and social care sector.

The project aims to foster innovative healthcare and exemplary biomedical research by providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic solutions within the highest ethical and regulatory standards. The use of cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence and intelligent data processing, promises to contribute significantly to addressing the challenges of health and wellbeing in the region.

The main objective of BioTeCare will be research in data technologies within the health sector, defining an appropriate ethical and legal framework for the application of techniques such as Deep Learning and AI, to develop innovative solutions that contribute to improving medical, clinical, and biotechnological processes, with the aim of enhancing healthcare and patient wellbeing.

The project is configured as a regional, multidisciplinary, and multisectoral research consortium, involving various entities with experience in R&D cooperation projects.

Members: two technological centers: the Technological Institute of Castilla y León Foundation (ITCL), the consortium leader, and the AIR Institute, along with five top-tier companies located in the region, from various sectors: Biomar Microbial Technologies, Isabel I University, Telecyl S.A. (Madison MK), Global Start Dynamics, and Syltec.
