Junior Analyst in Applied Research Mathematics

The AIR Institute, a renowned non-profit research centre specialising in disruptive technologies is looking for a Strategy Analyst in distributed ledger technologies with an interest in game and graph theory, as well as blockchain applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and modelling of economic strategies and algorithms in blockchain-based systems.
  • Research in protocol optimisation using game theory and graph theory.
  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary projects to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of new distributed systems proposals.
  • Development of predictive and analytical models to improve the security and efficiency of DLT platforms.
  • Contribution to the writing and publication of scientific articles in areas of specialisation.

What are we looking for?

  • A degree in Mathematics.
  • Strong interest and/or experience in game theory and graph theory.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Recommended:

  • Knowledge of Ledger Technologies and Distributed Systems.
  • Programming skills in Python or R for data analysis.
  • Experience with software development tools and version control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of cryptography and blockchain consensus mechanisms.
  • Master's or PhD in related areas.
