Sustainable Smart Cities and Territories International Conference: a flagship event in this changing world

The International Conference on Sustainable Smart Cities and Territories, SSCt2021, will soon be taking place. It is a meeting that we have organised together with the Texas A&M University in Qatar, the BISITE Research Group and the IoT Digital Innovation Hub.

From 27th to 29th of April we will be holding online what we hope will become a flagship conference on the development and implementation of Smart Cities.

Over the three days, researchers and developers from academia and industry will present and discuss the latest scientific and technical advances in the field, through lectures and workshops that will address the different techniques, methodologies and tools that are available to designers to make the transition from today's cities to the cities we need in this changing world.

SSSCt2021 will address issues such as smart cities and smart territories, successful cases and challenges; smart homes and smart buildings; smart infrastructures (network, 5G, grids, lighting, water and waste); smart urban mobility and intelligent transportation systems; data security and safety, blockchain; sensor-driven analytics and services or context-aware systems.

Attendees will also enjoy the presentation of several projects we are developing at AIR Institute, including Expand IntelWines, development and implementation of new artificial intelligence techniques in the production process of the Pago de Carraovejas winery to support decision making and improve food safety.

The scientific quality of this international conference is also endorsed by the Electronics journal (JCR 2019 Electronics. 2.412), which will publish a special issue featuring all the selected papers.

We look forward to seeing you at one of the most important events in the field of Smart Cities and Smart Territories in 2021.
