AIR Institute wins the Capture The Flag competition organised at the National Cybersecurity Research Workshops

Our colleagues Pablo Plaza, Daniel Pérez and Manuel López have participated in Capture The Flag JNIC 2023. A virtual competition organised by the Viewnext-UEX Chair on "Security and Auditing of Software Systems", which aims to detect and reward the new promises of cybersecurity in Spain.

Pablo, Daniel and Manuel are part of the AIR Institute cybersecurity team and participated as Air Security, along with 169 other teams belonging to 90 different universities, institutes or training centres and companies. However, only 11 teams, including AIR Security, overcame the 4 challenges, enabling them to qualify for the competition.

Capture The Flag complemented the VIII National Cybersecurity Research Conference. An activity designed to reach anyone who is interested in cybersecurity, in order to identify talent among users, who have tested their knowledge, skills and abilities in this transcendental field for technology.

Challenges of varying levels of difficulty were presented and addressed various cybersecurity disciplines, such as reverse engineering, exploiting, forensic analysis, web hacking, cryptography, and steganography. Our colleagues passed each of them and won first place in the competition.

Congratulations to the three of you! Good job!
