New premises at the Artificial Intelligence Centre
The AIR Institute begins a new chapter at the Artificial Intelligence Centre, a space provided by the Salamanca Town Council. Specialists have already begun to fill the building located in Santiago Madrigal Street, a modern 820 square meter facility where the International Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Foundation (AIR Institute) will develop diverse research projects.
The inauguration of the building will take place on 29 September in the presence of numerous officials.
One of the initiatives to be developed at the new AIR Institute premises is the European Digital Innovation HUB (DIGIS 3), a regional initiative with an investment of 3.5 million euros with which the Regional Government of Castilla y León aims to offer a broad portfolio of digitalization services to around 1,400 businesses and public entities from the nine provinces of the region. AIR Institute specialists will provide the required training, testing and support in the search for funding to promote the competitiveness of companies in artificial intelligence and supercomputing, as well as in technologies such as the internet of things, big data, blockchain, robotics and cybersecurity.
