Our colleague José Antonio Cordón Muñoz receives the Extraordinary Award for his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Salamanca

This week, the University of Salamanca held the Extraordinary Awards ceremony to recognize highly performing students from Undergraduate, Master’s and PhD Programmes in the 2022/2023 academic year.

A total of 191 students received the recognition, among them, our colleague José Antonio Cordón Muñoz, for his high achievements in the Degree in Computer Engineering. Currently, José Antonio is a student of the Master in Intelligent Systems at USAL, combining it with his work in AIR Institute’s Cybersecurity Team.

His work focuses on the implementation of artificial intelligence systems in several projects. His responsibilities include the training of models to detect anomalies in network traffic, the implementation of multi-agent systems to mitigate threats in real time and research in generative AI for the development of cybersecurity expert assistants that provide support to analysts and can automate tasks such as the generation of security reports.

José Antonio is particularly interested in the field of artificial intelligence, especially when applied to the field of cybersecurity, as he believes that "it is essential to advance in the development of systems capable of dealing with the new, constantly emerging threats".
