The AIR Institute strengthens its AI team by hiring experts to promote innovative research projects

The AIR Institute promotes the development and use of artificial intelligence (AI) across all its research projects. For this reason, it is committed to hiring qualified personnel in this technology, which provides additional value to its professional work, as is the case of Patricia López Sanz and David Velasco Ayuso, who recently joined its AI team.

With an initial training in physics and more than 18 years of experience in the academic sector, Patricia arrives at AIR Institute's headquarters to share the knowledge and skills acquired after completing a Master's Degree in Big Data and Data Science at the National Distance Education University (UNED).

Since her beginnings as a researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), specifically in the growth of superlattices of minerals such as Manganite and the chemical compound YbaCo, Patricia has been interested in the study of AI and Deep Learning, which has led to her involvement in this area of technology.

‘I have always been interested in how technology can transform the world, and Deep Learning is one of those areas where innovation is at its peak, offering the possibility to solve complex problems, such as analysing huge amounts of data and discovering patterns that were previously invisible,’ Patricia commented.

Knowing that everything I learn can have a direct impact on society, whether it's improving medical diagnostics or creating more efficient systems, motivates me to keep digging deeper. It's an intellectual challenge that also fuels my creativity, and with the growing demand in the market, I feel I am building a career full of exciting opportunities with a bright future.

Meanwhile, David, a recent graduate in computer engineering from the University of Salamanca, joins our team to deepen his knowledge in this discipline, as he continues his professional training with a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence from the online university UNIR.

David joins the workplace full of ambition and eagerness to specialise in areas such as computer vision using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), data processing using Panda and the implementation of Machine Learning algorithms.

‘Being part of the AIR Institute team represents a unique opportunity to grow in my professional career due to several key factors such as its innovative approach in the field of Artificial Intelligence that allows me to be surrounded by cutting-edge experts and professionals, thus ensuring continuous and insightful learning’, said David.

The AIR Institute has, as one of its main objectives, the creation of job opportunities for professionals in the areas of science, technology and innovation, which represents a strategic commitment to the development of local and global talent. By encouraging the training and recruitment of experts in these fields, it not only boosts the growth of careers in highly demanded sectors, but also seeks to position Salamanca as an international benchmark in technology. This vision has a direct impact on strengthening the region's technological ecosystem, attracting both companies and cutting-edge projects that benefit the economic and social environment.
