Salamanca’s El Jap! launches free course on Brief Creation and Scriptwriting, led by Javier Martínez, scriptwriter of Momonsters series
Starting on 8 November, a free course on brief creation and scriptwriting, led by Javier Martínez—co-founder of Big Bang Box, the prominent animation production company based in Salamanca and creator of the successful series Momonsters—will be offered. Sessions will take place on Fridays from 4:30 to 8:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, concluding on 30 November. This programme will provide attendees with a high-quality learning experience.
These free monthly courses will be held in Salamanca, at the Tormes+ Training and Entrepreneurship Centre facilities, and are promoted by El Jap!, a project by the AIR Institute and the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICECYL), an organisation under the Junta de Castilla y León.
This ambitious project, part of ICECYL's Wolaria accelerator, aims to establish Salamanca as a hub of innovation, positioning Castilla y León as an international reference in the video games and animation industry by attracting talent and encouraging the development of innovative projects. The initiative is supported by experts, industry companies, and the institutional backing of the University of Salamanca (USAL) and the Salamanca City Council.
Javier Martínez’s course is designed for those interested in learning the fundamentals of developing stories and characters for animation and video games, with a practical, direct approach from one of the industry’s most influential professionals. Registration is now open for those interested in attending, and future editions of these monthly courses, which will continue throughout the duration of the project, will also open for enrolment.
