Showcasing MRV Digital Solutions for Carbon Farming: A Window into the Sustainable Future of Regenerative Agriculture

Over the past three years, the Farms4Climate project has spearheaded an innovative effort to develop digital tools for small-scale farmers, aimed at promoting sustainability and implementing carbon farming practices. To disseminate the results and demonstrate the benefits of these solutions, Farms4Climate is organising the event “Showcasing MRV Digital Solutions for Carbon Farming”, which will take place on 29–30 January 2025 at SEKEM Farm, Egypt. This gathering, designed as a space for exchange and learning, is focused on Living Labs and promises to be a point of convergence for farmers, researchers, and stakeholders.

The showcase will highlight technological achievements, including blockchain-based platforms for carbon marketplaces, agricultural decision-support tools, and voluntary carbon markets. These solutions are being used by project beneficiaries to improve regenerative practices that enhance carbon sequestration in soils and agroforestry systems.

On the first day, attendees will have the opportunity to explore various digital solutions for Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) developed under the Farms4Climate project for carbon farming initiatives. They will also gain access to innovative tools for managing and scaling sustainable farming initiatives while meeting regulatory standards.

The second part of the event will feature technical meetings hosted by partners to evaluate the project’s progress. This will undoubtedly be a valuable opportunity to showcase the benefits and opportunities in carbon farming.
