The AIR Institute participates in the Virtual Reality in Rural Businesses event organised by the Acelera SME initiative
The Salamanca Provincial Council and the Acelera SME Initiative have organised the event "Virtual Reality: Application to Rural Businesses". The event was held in the press room of Santa Marta de Tormes Town Hall, which, alongside the AIR Institute, served as a key collaborator. During the event, the AIR Institute presented the innovative projects developed in this field.
The purpose of the event was to analyse how virtual reality and digitalisation can drive innovation and success in rural businesses. To achieve this, they collaborated with professionals from the technology sector, who shared their knowledge with the attendees and provided practical explanations of the best strategies for incorporating virtual reality and other technologies into their projects or businesses.
KPMG Consultants, one of the most prestigious firms in strategic consulting, participated in the event, presenting their vision on digitalisation in rural areas and how virtual reality is revolutionising the way small businesses can attract customers. They also shared information about grants related to digitalisation that can help entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life and boost innovation projects.
On behalf of the AIR Institute, our colleague Raúl García outlined the scope and benefits of virtual reality in developing projects that foster immersive experiences, providing a distinctive advantage in local commerce and rural tourism. Raúl presented the virtual reality projects we are developing and explained how they can be applied in areas such as health, entertainment, education, and tourism.
The event concluded with the presentation of several success stories. Attendees had the opportunity to learn, first-hand, about the opportunities that technologies like virtual reality can bring to their businesses.
