AIR Institute shines with the DIGIS3 project at the inaugural edition of DIGIVIT in Lerma
The town of Lerma, in the province of Burgos, became a hub of innovation in the wine industry as it hosted the first edition of DIGIVIT from 1st to 3rd May—an event dedicated to promoting technological development in rural areas across Castile and León.
Among the standout participants was the AIR Institute, presenting its DIGIS3 project—an initiative designed to bring technological solutions and expert advice to SMEs and public sector bodies.
Over the course of the three-day fair, the DIGIS3 stand became a key meeting point for numerous companies, wineries, and professionals eager to discover innovative tools to streamline processes, boost competitiveness, and promote a more sustainable approach to winemaking.
The AIR Institute team showcased a range of initiatives aimed at SMEs and public administrations, spanning digital transformation, sustainability, artificial intelligence, enabling technologies, and strategic consultancy tailored to the agri-food and wine sectors.
In this space it also presented the progress of one of the projects that it develops with Talentech from the presentation "Digitalisation of the registration of determining parameters of wine quality", where expanded details about their proposal to create a data space that allows advanced analysis and exploitation through artificial intelligence techniques.
- DIGIVIT
DIGIVIT is an international event held as part of the Lerma Fair, organised primarily by the Provincial Council of Burgos, SODEBUR, and the Digital Innovation Hub on Livestock, Environment, Agriculture & Forest (DIH-LEAF). Its goal is to support the digital transformation of the wine sector in Castile and León, and to facilitate global exchange on the latest technological developments in the field.
This first edition brought together experts, wineries, technology companies, and stakeholders from Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, and Chile to discuss the key challenges facing the sector and explore innovative ways to address them.
- Looking ahead to the next edition
The AIR Institute team extends its sincere thanks for the opportunity to take part in this landmark event, which provided a valuable platform to engage with forward-thinking researchers in both the tech and agricultural fields. They also thank all those who visited the DIGIS3 stand and expressed interest in taking their businesses forward. We look forward to seeing you next year at the second edition!
