Margarita Cea from AIR Institute takes part in the 5th GILL consortium meeting in Turin, Italy

The AIR Institute participated in the fifth meeting of the GILL project consortium, held from 21st to 23rd May in Turin, Italy. Our colleague Margarita Cea López attended and, alongside project partners, shared updates on the various work packages, the current status of the project, and helped coordinate the next steps towards its final phase.

Key topics discussed included the technical developments of the GILL Hub platform (WP2), communication and sustainability strategies (WP4), and several co-creation workshops focused on public policies promoting gender equality.

In this context, a dedicated workshop was also held with the partners responsible for the Action-Oriented Experimentations (AOEs), aimed at reviewing the work completed so far, identifying shared needs, and planning outstanding deliverables.

The AIR Institute is actively involved in this area and presented progress during the meeting. We are responsible for implementing AOE6, which centres on analysing public perception of gender equality policies through content published on social media.

Recent efforts within AOE6 have focused on strengthening methodological rigour and enhancing the accessibility of the results. Notable new visualisations include graphs that compare emotions, track thematic developments over time, and explore connections between terms and emotional polarity.

The event also featured an open session on innovation with a gender perspective. Overall, these meetings have been invaluable for consolidating results, identifying remaining challenges, and reinforcing collaborative work within the Living Labs framework.
