CIBERIA drives cybersecurity in business services across Spain and Portugal

CIBERIA, a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Interreg VI-A Spain–Portugal programme, is advancing its goal of fostering secure digital environments for companies and public administrations through a portfolio of subsidised services, easily accessible via its website.

Cybersecurity tailored to your needs with CIBERIA

Since the start of the year, CIBERIA has been updating its website to reflect new features and address needs identified among both service providers and consumers. This includes facilitating a Cybersecurity Mapping process to assess an organisation’s security posture and determine the most suitable service or services.

One of its most impactful initiatives is the certification of services with the CIBERIA Trust Seal, recognised by the European Union. This seal is regarded as a guarantee of compliance with current legislation on security and data protection for digital solutions. Certified services can be listed in the CIBERIA Marketplace and benefit from additional features such as SOC-T, which helps mitigate risks and protect systems against threats 24/7. SOC-T is also available to companies without the Trust Seal, acting as a strong stepping stone towards obtaining the certification in the future.

For consumers, CIBERIA specifically offers the CRA service, which enables the evaluation of digital environments and devices, supports incident management and reporting, and verifies compliance with European cybersecurity regulations. It also ensures system security from the design stage, providing updates and tools to safeguard data protection.

In delivering its services, CIBERIA is supported by the Spanish company Secure Networks, which has over 20 years’ experience in areas such as critical infrastructures, open-source software and technologies, high-performance computing systems, and big data support and storage systems.

Ongoing training

Among the measures promoted by CIBERIA for companies and public administrations is staff training aligned with their roles, as a way to counter external vulnerabilities stemming from human factors.

It also provides individual training for those wishing to strengthen their digital security, both professionally and personally, through the Good Practices Guide available on its homepage.

CIBERIA

The CIBERIA project runs for 36 months, ending on 30 June 2026, and is made up of a consortium of 10 partners: the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), Supercomputing Centre of Castilla y León (SCAYLE), the Foundation for Research and Development in Transport and Energy (Cidaut), AIR Institute, the Science Park of the University of Salamanca, the University of Salamanca (USAL), the University of León (ULE), the University of Beira Interior (UBI), the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, and the Intermunicipal Community of the Beiras and Serra da Estrela Region.
