Zamora’s Smart Data Space Innovation Centre launches its first workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Data Spaces

At a time when data has become the new “strategic resource”, Zamora now counts on a valuable asset for its scientific and technological ecosystem: the Smart Data Space Innovation Centre. Established with the mission of serving as a high-value platform for the generation, management, analysis and use of data infrastructures, the centre aspires to become a hub for talent, research and entrepreneurship.

Its activities are structured around several key areas:

-       Training and outreach: workshops, courses and seminars to promote data culture and equip professionals and students with emerging skills.

-       Technical and support services: guidance on data architecture and governance, ICT infrastructure, and the development of data-driven solutions.

-       Applied research and knowledge transfer: collaborative projects with companies, public administrations and research groups to make better use of Data Spaces in strategic sectors.

-       Networking and community building: connecting professionals, researchers and public and private stakeholders within the data ecosystem to foster local, regional and national synergies.

The centre is thus conceived not only as a “container of knowledge”, but as an active player driving digital transformation and the responsible, innovative use of data in the region and beyond.

Hybrid Workshop: “Unveiling AI and Data Spaces”

To kick off its training activities, the Smart Data Space Innovation Centre, through the AIR Institute, is organising its first workshop. “Unveiling AI and Data Spaces” will take place on Wednesday, 8 October, from 11:00 to 14:00, in hybrid format: on site at the La Aldehuela Technology Innovation Hub in Zamora, and online.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in exploring the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and its connection with Data Spaces—without requiring prior technical knowledge. Participants will also learn from practical examples and illustrative cases and take part in interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and reinforce concepts in a simple, hands-on way.

The session will be led by Jesús Ángel Román Gallego, from the Polytechnic School of Zamora, alongside specialists in AI education and researchers from the Smart Data Space Innovation Centre.

Book your place and don’t miss this opportunity to discover how AI and data are transforming our world.
