DIGIS3 is a new Digital Innovation Center, funded by the European Union, oriented towards providing Smart, Sustainable and Cohesive Digitization services to SMEs and public sector administrations in Castile and Leon.

With the aim of applying disruptive technologies to the digital transformation of natural spaces in Castile and Leon, the "SMART RURAL" project was launched, and promoted by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León, together with AIR Institute, CARTIF, MADISON MK, CESEFOR and COTESA. 

AIR Institute is a one of the sponsors of the international PAAMS conference  and the simulatenous DCAI, ISAmI, PACBB, MIS4TEL, Blockchain and DECON events. This year it will also give an award to the best demonstration during the event, which will be held in Guimarães (Portugal) from 12 to 14 July 2023.

Last week the kick-off meeting of the GILL project (Gendered Innovation Living Labs - EU Grant Agreement number 101094812) took place. Juan Manuel Corchado, president of AIR Institute, participated in the event together with the other project partners and some representatives of the European Commission.

Yesterday, February 8, a conference was held on the European R&D programs of Cluster 4 of Horizon Europe, "Digital, Industry and Space"

AIR Institute will participate in FITECU, the International Fair of Innovation and Technology for Care organized by SIVI. The event, which seeks to give visibility to social innovation, will be attended by Juan Manuel Corchado, president of the technology center attached to this cluster.  Drawing on the design, development and application of innovative technological solutions, experts from all over the world will present their advances at this meeting, thanks to their knowledge they add something essential to social progress: care.

In recent years, we have seen cities undergo a major transformation thanks to high investments in resources and research projects.

Last week a conference organized by the ICE (Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León) on "Digital Applications in the Food Industry" took place in Burgos. It was held within the framework of the Centr@tec program and aimed at the managers of SMEs in the food sector. The aim of the conference was to promote the interrelation of companies and technology centers in Castilla y León, as well as to facilitate the digital transformation process of industrial SMEs by offering them real solutions.

The Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE) in collaboration with Air Institute organizes within the Centr@tec program an information day on the European R&D programs Cluster 4 of Horizon Europe, "Digital, Industry and Space". The event will take place on February 8 in Salamanca and will be attended by the national contact points of this call.
